The Original Trollbeads store in Lyngby still exist and is today called Kvindens Juvel (Jewel of the women).

The first Trollbeads were sold in the little basement shop by Svend Nielsen on the street Klareboderne in Copenhagen, where the beads lived a silent life. In 1988 Svend Nielsen's daughter Lise Aagaard opened her own shop in the middle of the main street of Lyngby – here Trollbeads finally came into the light. In this magic shop you could walk in from the street and request a special bead with your own story and then it would be designed and produced. You could also see and buy the growing collection of beads that was produced by all the Trollbeads family members. Other creative jewelry from the Trollbeads family were could be bought in the shop. Trollbeads evolved from silver to gold and it was also in the shop in Lyngby the first glass Trollbead came to life.
